This fantastic trail is ideal for a day excursion with a spectacular destination. Lost Lake is a lovely spot for a picnic and to take in the landscape and fauna of the area. This route begins near the small community of Eldora, west of Nederland, at the Hessie Trailhead off County Road 130 and leads to the Devil's Thumb Trail. After traveling for a while on this trail, you'll come to a trail intersection. The trail straight ahead follows Middle Boulder Creek until it reaches King Lake. Stay left and follow the Devil's Thumb Bypass to reach the Lost Lake Trail.
