Passengers are allowed to bring one carry-on bag and one personal item on board. The carry-on bag must not exceed 55cm x 40cm x 23cm (21.7in x 15.7in x 9.1in) and must weigh no more than 8kg (17.6lbs). The personal item should fit under the seat in front of you.
The checked baggage allowance depends on the class of travel and the route:
For intercontinental flights, Economy Class passengers can bring one free checked bag weighing up to 23kg (50lbs), while Business and First Class passengers can bring two free checked bags weighing up to 32kg (70lbs) each.
Additional baggage fees apply for extra or oversized items. The charges vary depending on the weight and dimensions of the baggage.
Star Alliance Gold and Silver members, as well as certain other frequent flyer statuses, may be entitled to additional baggage allowances.
Students and passengers traveling with infants may be eligible for additional baggage allowances. For instance, infants are allowed one checked bag up to 23kg (50lbs).
