Shyam Sunder, Murli Wala, Ghanshyam, and Krishna—four friends working at the same IT company in Gurgaon—had been planning a trip for ages. With tight deadlines and never-ending work pressure, getting leave felt like an impossible task. Every time they requested time off, their boss found reasons to delay it. But this time, they were determined. After multiple requests, negotiations, and a little encouragement, their boss finally approved their leave. The excitement was real!
With just a week to plan, they decided on Tawang, a breathtaking destination nestled in the Eastern Himalayas of Arunachal Pradesh. The plan was set—7 days of adventure, culture, and relaxation.
Their trip kicked off with a flight from Delhi to Salonibari Airport in Tezpur, Assam. As the plane took off, the excitement was visible in their eyes. After landing, they couldn’t wait to begin their road journey to Tawang. The drive was long, but the mesmerizing landscapes—lush greenery, misty mountains, and winding roads—kept them captivated.
For the first two days, they explored the rich culture and stunning beauty of Tawang. They visited the Tawang Monastery, the largest monastery in India, where they found peace in the spiritual ambiance. The serene Madhuri Lake, with its crystal-clear waters, left them speechless.
Their adventure spirit kicked in as they trekked to Bum La Pass, near the Indo-China border, braving the cold and high altitude. They also enjoyed the vibrant local markets, buying souvenirs and tasting authentic Tibetan cuisine—thukpa, momos, and butter tea.
The last five days were all about unwinding and doing things at their own pace. No work emails, no deadlines—just pure freedom! They indulged in leisure walks, long conversations by the lakes, and endless laughter over cups of chai at roadside stalls.
As the trip came to an end, they made their way back from Salonibari Airport, Tezpur, to Delhi. Though they were sad to leave, they knew this trip was exactly what they needed—a break from routine, a chance to reconnect, and memories to cherish forever.
Back at work, their minds were still in the mountains, but their spirits were refreshed. And now, they were already planning their next escape!
